How do I lock and unlock my thermostat?

To prevent tampering with your settings, the front panel buttons can be locked out, requiring a four digit code to unlock them. You may use either the default lock code of “0000”, or your own code number (see “To Lock the Keypad”).

NOTE: These keypad lock instructions need to be performed in a timely manner,

as the thermostat will timeout and automatically exit the keypad lock screens

and return to the Normal Run screen after approximately 10 seconds without a

button press.

TO LOCK THE KEYPAD: 

1. Start with the System Mode switch in either the HEAT or COOL positions, and the Set Slide switch in the RUN position. 
2. Press and hold the NEXT button for 5 seconds, and the words “LOCK CODE” then “SET CODE” will appear at the top of the screen. 
3. Select a 4-digit code that you would like to use for locking the thermostat. 
4. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to change each flashing digit, using the NEXT button to cycle through which digit is flashing. 
5. Press and hold the NEXT button for at least 5 seconds. 
6. The thermostat will return to the normal Run screen, with a padlock shown to confirm that the thermostat is now locked.

TO UNLOCK THE KEYPAD: 

1. Press and hold the NEXT button for 5 seconds, and the words “ENTER CODE” will appear at the top of the screen. 
2. Enter the proper unlock code that was used for initially locking the thermostat. 
3. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to change each flashing digit, using the NEXT button to cycle through which digit is flashing. 
4. Press and hold the NEXT button for at least 5 seconds. 
5. The thermostat will return to the Normal Run screen without the padlock, and the thermostat is now unlocked.

IF YOU FORGET YOUR KEYPAD LOCK  CODE: 

1. Place the Set Slide switch in the RUN position.  
2. On the back of the thermostat’s circuit  board, press and hold the “HW RST” (Hardware Reset) button for 3 seconds and release.  
3. The thermostat will perform  a reset and should now be unlocked.  

If the thermostat is still locked with the padlock present, perform the “To Unlock The Keypad” shown above using “0000” as the code.
