LUX President and CEO Rob Munin Appointed as Board Member for Thermostat Recycling Corporation

Philadelphia, PA, Dec. 8, 2016 – LUX Products Corporation today announced that its President and CEO Rob Munin has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Thermostat Recycling Corporation (TRC). Rob brings more than 25 years of marketing and sales leadership to the board, helping companies to build brand and expand their market presence in the retail and wholesale channels.

“It’s an honor to serve as a board member for an organization that serves such an important role in our industry and for the environment,” remarked Munin. “There are still many homes with mercury thermostats and it’s important for homeowners to know where to go to recycle them when they look to change their thermostats. TRC offers programs nationwide and provides an easy way for homeowners to dispose of their mercury thermostats safely.”

Thermostat Recycling Corporation, founded in 1998, is an industry-funded non-profit corporation supported by 29 manufacturers who historically branded and sold mercury thermostats in the United States. TRC maintains a network of more than 3,600 collection sites nationwide and has recovered more than 2.1 million thermostats, 10 tons of mercury, since its inception. TRC assumes all costs to transport and properly dispose of mercury switch thermostats recovered from service. None of thermostats in the LUX line of products sold today contain mercury.
